Online Safety Leads
Course Content
The Online Safety Leads course has been written for professionals working with children and young people in a school/college setting, e.g. Designated Safeguarding Lead, Computing Lead, Senior Leaders etc. The course consists of 17 short modules which, on average, should take no longer than 3 hours to complete. Access is given for 12 months meaning you can revisit modules at any time within that 12 month period.
The course has been written and is delivered by Alan Mackenzie, a specialist who has focused on online safety in education since 2007. Delivered in a clear, pragmatic way, Alan gives tips, examples and advice from the thousands of schools he has visited over the years.
There are two parts to this course: the first is the Online Safety Leads modules which form the core information for managing online safety. This is the only part you need to complete to get your certificate. The second part is Risks and Issues, this is a dip-in / dip-out section to bring you up to date on aspects that you may not know about or wish to re-acquaint yourself.
All modules in the Online Safety Leads section are revisited at least once per month in order to change or update information, ensuring the course content is always as up-to-date as possible.
